5 Pukers Puking

A different spin from 5 drummers drumming. In the last few days all 5 of us have puked, some more than others.

It started either Thursday or Friday, Laney puked, not spit up, puked. Then on our wonderfully fantastic way home from Utah, we stayed in Denver January 1st, when we got up to leave way early in the morning, alecia and i were both puking. 6 hours after we got up, putting us waaaayyyy behind schedule, we left just after 10 am. Denver to Tulsa is not a short Drive, nor is it a fun one. We hate driving through Kansas. It is worse than I-80 in Wyoming if you think that road is bad.

So we get home that night, never been so happy to be in Tulsa in my life! We've been in bed for maybe a half hour and Noah starts puking. He pukes a few times throughout the night is fine by morning, we think we're done. DEAD WRONG!

Last night, Alecia is asleep, i'm laying in bed playing a game on my phone when i hear what sounds like a weird cough, and then.....

Jonas.

When this kid pukes, you'd think his arm had been ripped off by hungry wolves or something. This one freaks out, way beyond the point anyone should freak out.

When i get to him, i see that his face, his right shoulder are covered and dripping down his shirt is vomit, it is everywhere!! He's crying, freaking out, and he starts screaming like he's going to die! That is our warning sign that we must huury to the toilet. So I yell for Alecia, she hurries and helps him to the toilet, he pukes, she has to give him a shower at 10:30 at night because it is all over him.

I start cleaning up the mess in his room. There is a trail of vomit from his pillow, down the bed, on the floor by the head of the bed, then in a semi-circular path from the head of the bed, to the foot of the bed, all on the floor, the white carpet I should add, all the way into the doorway where I found Jonas covered and screaming.

So i start picking up the throw up, i'm using words intentionally, because i'm describing what i actually did. I picked up throw up, after that, used the resolve carpet cleaner to try and get out the pink/orange color left by my first born on the white carpet. Needless to say, we need to clean the carpets now more than ever before.

Repeat Jonas puking at least 5 more times (lost count) throughout the night with all the same fanfare for every instance, except it all made it in the puke bowl or the toilet, yea!

There were two highlights from our drive home from Denver. We got to see Alecia's old roommate from Rick's college, Jaymie, her husband Tyler and their 5 boys who just moved there the day before from Star Valley. That is really the only reason we went that route. The second Highlight was, I stopped at King Soopers and bought 2 packages of Cherry Chip Cookies from their bakery. Some of the best cookies in the world! They are pink, Jonas is my son, you do the Math.

Oh wow!! Boy do I know what you have been going through, being your mother and all [been there, done that] having sick kids is the worst punishment EVER. [Remember that one trip through Wyoming when Laurie was throwing up every 20 miles & then Cameron started in too, horrid] Hope everyone will start to feel better soon.
